welcome friends, to the scott w. seibert - songwriter website. this site will introduce scott and his songs. scott has been writing country and christian songs for several years. he has performed in many venues and played with some of the most popular acts in country and texas music. he made his journey to country music" mecca" and was fairly well received. the concenus of the powers that be advised him to move to nashville to properly exploit his music. he was advised by some of the top writers in the business who heard something special in the music. it would have been an easy choice if "making it" was all that mattered. success does matter but family and life decisions are far more important and faced with moving his family for the sake of a dream he chose family. now a few years later and a few years wiser he has returned to pitching his songs.
in his own words:
"fish gotta swim, songwriter gotta write". this phrase sums it up for most of all the songwriters i've met in my life. there is something inside of us that has to come out. it matters and then again it doesn't matter if people like it or connect to it. we all want to be well received and have that positive reinforcement but it doesn't change the fact we have to write. my hope is these songs will be well received but i can only do what i do. you will hear on this site what i call the "heaven and earth" aspect of living and living to tell about it. some of the songs are country and deal with the ups and downs of living as an imperfect person in an imperfect world. then there is the spiritual side that deals with one man's walk with his GOD. the hopes, fears, joy and guilt and many other emotions that accompany life on this planet. let me make it perfectly clear, i have my faults and my failings as a man but i do not rely on me. i place my faith in the SON of the LIVING GOD, JESUS. i do not use it to excuse behavior but it is the hope that lies within me. i also hope you will find hope in these songs that tell of GOD's love and grace.
